What is the craziest thing you have ever seen anyone do?
Read John 3:30: "He must increase, but I must decrease."
What does this statement mean to you?
What areas of your life need to increase for you to live revolutionary?
What areas of your life need to decrease for you to live revolutionary?
Luke 1:57-66 / Luke 3:1-20 - Jesus created a revolution; the early church continued the revolution; and this generation will complete the revolution. What part will you play? Maybe a better question would be, "Waht in your life is keeping you from playing a major role in the last days' revolution?
Last week we discussed having the "spirit" and "power" of Elijah, and how these qualities are needed to march in the revolutionary army of God. This week we will discuss the attributes of a revolutionary generation.
You are going to have to turn up the RPM's to develop the attributes of a revolutionary. The first thing we see about a revolutionary generation, is that they are not mixed with compromise and worldliness. Instead, they are marked by true repentance because they have turned from their sins to God (John 3:8). The second thing we see, is that this generation will not follow in the footsteps of the previous generation (Luke 1:57-66). Instead, they will launch out as pioneers and blaze a new trail for the gospel of Jesus Christ. The last attribute of a revolutionary is that they serve or minister to others. It is time for the church to come out and be separate - TO STOP JUST "GOING" TO CHURCH AND TO START "BEING" THE CHURCH.
This is a call to daily commit to practicing the attributes of a revolutionary. Let's pray and think about how we can put these things to practice in our own lives.
